Matthew "ChaosControl VA" Phillips is a Christian Voice Actor, Video Editor, Writer, Musician, Artist, and SonicTuber; all on the Autism Spectrum (I know, that's a lot).Born and raised in the boiling hot American state of Arizona, he's always been fascinated by motion pictures. Constantly quoting lines from his favorite pieces of media all around the house, often daydreaming about starring and/or creating movies in his head, and (in this case) YouTubing. While at the same time, he's also been interested in Sonic The Hedgehog. Out of everything he enjoys, Sonic is at the top of his list. All of which he's boiled down into his current profession.Aside from all of that, he was also raised in the Judeo Christian faith, and has developed a strong following in Jesus Christ and his teachings; which also connects to his patriotism. Backstory

Kama was born into an abusive family, and her early childhood with them shaped her future for the worst. Constantly torn down for her dreams of becoming a musician prodigy by her parents, Kama would become more reserved, not willing to open up to anyone. This attitude and personality stuck with her for the rest of her life, even after she was removed from her biological family and into an adoptive one. Her new family was more supportive of her dreams (which they figured out little by little), and did everything they could to support her and fulfill her dreams. She appreciated this, of course, but couldn't really show it.Eventually, she would meet Serena The Hedgehog (and eventually Rowdi The Siamese Cat), who would quickly befriend her and start their band with her: the Strays. As much as she loved her new friends and the opportunities her band gave her, she would find herself having creative differences with Serena, as she couldn't communicate her thoughts properly; those instances, however, would defuse and resolve themselves shortly afterward, of course.After the war between the Resistance and the Eggman Empire, and notably after meeting Spectrum The Hedgehog, Spectrum's sister Audrey would join the Strays as their violin/bass/horn player, as well as their social media manager. Kama and Audrey became quick friends, as Audrey was more sympathetic to Kama's struggles. As their friendship grew, Kama would start to grow out of her reserved shell little by little.

Backstory

Born and raised in a rich family, Rowdi was known to fully embrace her childhood, even into adulthood. She would always see the world through the eyes of a child, which also included childish tendencies. She was also known to be very energetic too, which she would always apply to music. Despite these traits, she could take care of herself though, for the most part, which was what she did when she eventually moved out and lived on her own.Eventually, she would help form the band known as the Strays, where she would mostly play their drums, and her family would support the band financially. And although the Strays haven’t gotten much success yet, Rowdi would grow very attached to her bandmates, considering them like sisters; sisters who could be annoyed by her childish nature at times, but still enjoy the energy she brings to their group.

Backstory

After the death of his granddaughter Maria, and during his own imprisonment, Dr. Gerald Robotnik built Audrey as a way to cope with her death (though, it didn’t help much). Using the materials G.U.N. provided to him for his experiments on Prison Island, he was able to make Audrey, who was a powerful synthetic android capable of growing and aging on her own, as well as being able to experience emotions and have desires. Gerald would manage to keep Audrey a secret as she developed and as his mental state slowly deteriorated despite her presence. As she would grow bit by bit, she would be there to comfort and learn from Gerald in spite of his regressing state. Eventually, when it was time for Dr. Gerald to be executed, he returned Audrey's kindness and gave her the tools to escape the prison, as well as deactivating her and erasing major parts of her memory so she could start a new life. Upon her reactivation, only remembering her name and not what she is, she managed to escape the island and journeyed out into the world.For a long time, she would wander from town to town, eventually being found by the family of a young Spectrum The Hedgehog, who would quickly adopt her while never suspecting she is a robot. As she would mature into a young woman along with Spectrum maturing into a young man, the two siblings would become very close with each other. When Eggman would begin his conquest of the planet, however, Audrey was one of many who were kidnapped and held on the newly rebuilt Death Egg. Eggman would quickly discover that Audrey was a robot created by his grandfather, much to Audrey’s horror, and he would start upgrading her weapons systems[4] and unlocking her memories in the hopes of turning her into the ultimate Badnik. Thankfully though, Spectrum and the Resistance would manage to free her along with many others during their rescue mission to bring back Sonic, but Audrey was still traumatized by the revelations she went through and would soon tell Spectrum about her being a robot. Spectrum would comfort Audrey, but would also elect not to tell anyone else about her condition, not wanting to cause panic and not wanting people to distance themselves from her; naturally, Audrey agreed.

Backstory

Ginger was born into a poor family in the snowy mountains of Holoska, which allowed her to gain a more down-to-earth perspective as she grew up. As a child, the men in her family (her father and older brother) would do work around their igloo, hunting and making repairs to their aforementioned home, all while she and her mother would do chores at home; this was obviously not as much work as the men in her family were doing, so she wasn’t complaining. It was only during a massive snowstorm, however, that Ginger’s igloo was destroyed and she was separated from her family... She would be rescued by a nearby Holoska village, but her family was never found (and thus, they were presumed dead)... Thankfully, the village raised her as one of their own, but the experience left her with a crippling fear of losing anyone else again…She would still keep a sunny personality as she continued to grow up though, and when she became of age, she left Holoska to explore the world. Since she had no real working experience, she would have to find a partner to provide for her, and she would ultimately go through many suitors. It would only be later on when she would meet Berri The Rabbit (along with Spectrum and the rest of Team Spectrum by association). Berri would save her from a violent attack by one of her previous suitors, allowing Ginger to tag along with her friends afterwards, with Spectrum even allowing her to live with him until she could find more permanent housing. However, due to her lack of defense without others, she has become a target for enemies of Berri and Spectrum…

Backstory

Deja was born in the distant future to a married Sonic The Hedgehog and Amy Rose, sharing aspects of both of her parents (not only in terms of their looks, but also in terms of their powers). She grew up with her parents being praised as heroes, being given many gifts that led to their family living in a decent amount of luxury; as an unexpected result of this, Deja grew up to very spoiled, never really appreciating her parents’ legacy, despite them trying their hardest to show her the importance of maintaining their story. Deja wouldn’t have any of this, and she would often blow off her family’s wealth at parties and while shopping.One fateful night, Deja was returning home from a party when she stumbled into a hole in the middle of a construction site where a mysterious totem was sticking out of the dirt. Not knowing any better (and just simply not caring), Deja inspected the totem and accidentally activated it, unleashing a green storm-like entity that immediately started consuming anyone else on-site while Deja would run away in fear. After telling her parents about what she saw, while also neglecting to mention how she caused it, they immediately sprung into action, assembling their friends (which even included the future version of Team Spectrum) to fight the storm and protect as many people as they could from it.It was during this time that Deja truly got to see her parents’ legendary heroism for the first time as they saved civilians from the entity and fought it off as best they could, finally gaining an appreciation for their bravery and hoping to make up for her actions by becoming just like them. It was also during this time, however, that it was revealed how the Maelstrom (as it was starting to be referred as at the time) can use the souls of the people it consumes (and therefore kills) as its own army of mindless spirits, which only made Deja feel worse as the friends of her parents died to the entity and became its animalistic puppets one by one; the lack of knowledge on this storm didn’t help get Deja’s (or everyone else’s) hopes up either, with information on it having been lost to time at that point, and not even Silver The Hedgehog (upon his return from the past) knew what it was or how to stop it.So as they continued to fight, it slowly started to feel as though that fight was in vain as the destruction and death only worsened worldwide, and even Deja could see that things were not going to improve… Eventually (and unfortunately), most of the world’s population was decimated, and most of Sonic and Amy’s comrades had shared the same fate as that of the population before the two of them soon joined them as well… With only Silver to comfort her at that point, Deja was devastated, realizing that she never truly appreciated her parents and what they had to offer her until they were gone…Everything culminated to the point where Deja and Silver were the last two living beings on the planet, with the rest of the world having been left abandoned and destroyed by the Maelstrom. At the End of Days, Deja was carrying a fatally injured Silver through the debris, away from the approaching Maelstrom and its forces, but it was slow-going… Eventually, Silver had to stop, not having the energy to continue, much to Deja’s dismay and protests… Silver argued that the only way to save the future is to keep that one from ever happening, bestowing his psychokinesis onto Deja before she could question it. Silver then instructed her how to use her speed and his powers to go back in time to the day he returned to the future for the final time to stop the Maelstrom from ever being found, ultimately planning to destroy it.Deja couldn’t bear to lose anyone else (much less leave them behind to die), but Silver persisted, telling her that she would see him (and everyone else) again soon… With that, Deja finally left Silver behind as his life left his body, just as the Maelstrom finally caught up with him… Deja used her speed and her new psychokinesis at the same time to outrun the Maelstrom, thinking as hard as she could to journey back to the date Silver mentioned. In a matter of moments, her persistence paid off, and she was flung through a dimensional rift summoned by her powers, determined to redeem her family legacy and save the future as she traveled to the past.

Backstory

Carey was born to a struggling father and mother, with the mother having an extensive familial history that everyone has completely forgotten. Growing up, her family’s fears of running out of money would start to wane on Carey’s mind more and more as she took part in school and the social areas surrounding it. This continued until Carey’s father suddenly died from a crippling disease, leaving her and her mother without their final crutch against being poor… As their funds began dwindling quickly, Carey was forced to quit high school and take odd jobs around Sunset City, eventually landing a job as a cook in the Whole Zone for a Priscilla The Orchid Mantis.After the war between the Resistance and the Eggman Empire ended and the world resumed its normal functions, Carey would go back to work at the Whole Zone as usual too, but with her now admiring Team Spectrum, who saved the entire world alongside Sonic and his friends, as well as now being a full-fledged legal adult. The day before she returned to work, Carey and her mother celebrated her 18th birthday with a single present: a necklace that was a family heirloom, but the reasons why that is the case were lost to time. The next day, as Carey tried to get through a shift at the Whole Zone, she discovered that she now had magical powers (as they disrupted her work), which she became excited about behind closed doors, knowing she could use this to finally be as great as Team Spectrum.So for the next few weeks, Carey secretly tried to control her powers, and even tried to use them to make her family rich at one point, which all culminated with her having a vision while sleeping one night. In her vision, she was approached by the apparition of Merlina The Wizard, revealing herself to be her distant ancestor. Merlina explained to Carey that she comes from an entire bloodline of wizards that had started with her, but their control over the High Ancient Magic has dwindled with each generation; with Carey being the latest in Merlina’s bloodline, she now can only channel her powers through her necklace, which Merlina reveals to have been made from the fragments of her own Staff. Merlina, in conclusion, says that she won’t be able to help Carey any further outside of this vision, so she urges her to use her powers responsibly and for the greater good of others instead of how she used them… Carey is confused by what Merlina means, but she doesn’t elaborate on this before the vision ends. Carey, now understanding the gravity of her situation, resolves to do as Merlina wished her to do, while also resolving to look into her family history to learn more about Merlina.

Backstory

Marina was born around the same time that her sister Amy was, being birthed only a few minutes after the latter, making her the youngest of the twins. As she would grow up into a toddler, Marina’s parents and everyone else around her would notice the difference between her and her sister Amy’s behavior, seeing how she would be more shy while Amy would be more bombastic and cheeky; still, at that stage of her life, Marina was still as playful as her older sister.As Marina grew older (to preschool, then to middle school), her interests would naturally shift (namely and notably towards her interest in the ocean), but she would also start to think a lot more about how others perceived her, eventually finding the things that she loved to be embarrassing. As a result of this thought process, Marina’s fun-loving side would become more and more hidden, with her becoming more and more reserved to complimented her shy nature; naturally, Marina’s parents and everyone else around her wasn’t sure of how to feel about her personality change, and they couldn’t really do much of anything as she seemed to get more and more distant. Regardless of Marina’s “growing pains,” her sister Amy would still love her and treat her with respect and care, like any good sibling would (and should).It was during Marina’s (and Amy’s) middle school years that Amy would become interested in tarot card reading, practicing her skill in the craft everyday after school. One such day after school, Amy would beckon Marina over to practice trying to find her fortune, and she found three (initially) vague readings: Marina would be recognized as a hero, she would be betrayed by a loved one, and she would have a hand in the redemption of another; naturally, Marina (and Amy) didn’t know what these meant.It was then during a family vacation that Marina would find herself walking along the rocks of a beautiful beach, playfully dipping her toes in the water and admiring the ocean wildlife with no one else watching. While there, Marina’s attention was soon captured by an octopus girl named Calypso who was curiously peeking her head above the water, with Marina noticing how she looked like she was the exact same age as her.Intrigued, Marina would quickly strike up a conversation and become fast friends with the octopus girl, during which they would promise to see each other again whenever Marina was at any other beach in the future (and they could achieve this with a special shell that Calypso could hone in on with her echolocation, having given it to Marina as a gift). From that moment on, as both Marina and Calypso grew into young adults, they would visit each other every time Marina would get a chance to go to a beach alone, with Marina soon finding Calypso to be the only person she could truly be open with (even more so than with her own twin sister Amy), thus valuing her as a true friend.As the war between the Eggman Empire and the Resistance would start, Amy would ensure that her family (including Marina) wouldn’t be taken by Eggman himself, so she ensured that they would be hidden away while she helped the Resistance as an analyst. Once the war ended, Marina was flooded with stories of Amy’s heroism and technical prowess, and she secretly began to want to be just like Amy (specifically in terms of her analyst role in the Resistance), so she dedicated her time to expanding her knowledge on technology; needless to say, after some time, Marina would become just as technically gifted as her sister Amy had become.

Backstory

Yazlyn was born in Shamar, and she would grow up there feeling limited and even oppressed. The region of Shamar, at the time of Yazlyn’s birth, was consumed by religious tensions that sought to limit women like her; not only was Yazlyn prevented from finding a real job (especially a job that put her above her Shamarian male colleagues) or was forced to wear clothes that hid her features, but she was threatened to be punished severely by the region’s government should she resist these dictatorial “guidelines” (just to name a few offenders). Needless to say, Yazlyn felt small and alone as she was growing up… Thankfully though, Yazlyn was born with a mysterious advantage: she was not only gifted with a perfect singing voice, but she was also given the gift to amplify the emotions of love for those around her to absurd levels with her singing. Though she couldn’t control it as well as a child, Yazlyn didn’t really have the time or the choice to care, as she started using her talents to earn money.As she matured into a young woman, Yazlyn’s fame began to grow throughout Shamar, and even throughout the rest of the world; everyone was utterly captivated by her music (mostly because of the love spell she carried though). Some of her Shamarian colleagues were so captivated by her powers that they began to say that she was the goddess Bastet reincarnated, claims which Yazlyn humbly denied. This connection did intrigue Yazlyn though, and soon she adopted a stage name for herself (even after delving into her culture’s mythology) that would draw inspiration from other singers she looked up to and one that would play with her new mythological status: Basx.Seeing how famous she was becoming, Basx also used her new notoriety to help her home by using the stage as a platform to advocate for women’s rights in Shamar, hoping to make a future for little girls growing up in the region like she once was. Her messages began to spread like wildfire, which naturally didn’t sit well with the Shamarian government; Basx would soon receive death threats from her elected officials, and would come under fire from some (failed) assassination attempts. Needless to say, Basx’s home was no longer safe, and so she (and her team of managers and stagehands) fled the country to find refuge in others that the Shamarian government could not (easily) touch them in; Basx, feeling a weight lift off her shoulders, never looked back. Despite her newfound freedom, Basx still felt very much alone, as she began to realize that her powers helped others find love, but they didn’t help herself… Now in the west, Basx became determined to find true love for herself, whether it's with or without her powers.

Backstory

Rebel grew up just as her name implied: rebelliously. She grew up not being too savvy with authority, much less the rules of society. Her parents didn’t even have much control over her as a child, as she delighted in doing whatever she wanted. This personality of hers was born in kindergarten, where Rebel’s teachers were her heaviest influences, ultimately determining what she would become in the future as they taught her things that satisfied themselves rather than teaching her actual important information. Rebel (with her impressionable and malleable young mind) didn’t really question any of this, nor did she realize how ironic her rebellious nature really was, and she took everything her opportunistic teachers said as if it were the gospel truth.Those influences on her early life would only be reinforced when she met Berri The Rabbit in high school, who she took a liking to almost immediately. Rebel was actually the person responsible for helping Berri find her own preferences as she was in a state of confusion about herself, which ultimately led to the two falling in love and starting to date. From high school to adulthood, they would continue to date each other and indulge themselves in their new lives together, joining groups that encouraged their behaviors and adopting values that they began to rely on together.Rebel had also begun to enjoy rock climbing during this time, training constantly and heavily considering making it her competitive career. And so, right before turning 20 and with the loving support of Berri, Rebel joined the International Rock Climbing League (or the IRCL) and entered a broadcasted tournament. Eventually, with pure skill and determination, Rebel managed to win the tournament, skyrocketing her popularity and stardom overnight. After being awarded multiple trophies and awards, Rebel would return home to Berri who celebrated her victory and her 20th birthday with her.Things began to change between Rebel and Berri, however, once the war between the Resistance and the Eggman Empire kicked off. Berri was about to introduce Rebel to her sister and niece when they were both captured by the Eggman Empire and separated in captivity onboard the Death Egg. Much like Berri though, Rebel held on hope that she would be rescued and reunited with her girlfriend, which she eventually was when Spectrum and the Resistance mounted a full-on assault on the Death Egg to rescue Sonic and a few of the other prisoners.Upon reuniting in the depths of the Resistance's HQ, Berri would return to her love as she finally unveiled her internal struggle, with her becoming sorrowful and scarred from what had happened to Cream while they were inside the Death Egg. However, Berri’s resulting abandonment of the groups she was once a part of and the values she once followed, which she did out of disgust as they all reminded her of Robotomized Cream’s creation nearly perfectly, in favor of a crusade to protect the innocence of children greatly confused Rebel. While the two would still be there for each other throughout the war, and even after Robotomized Cream was returned to normal, the tension between Rebel and Berri would only grow as their beliefs (especially their different perceptions on the innocence of children) began to clash frequently (which even results in Berri never letting Rebel meet her aunt and niece like she originally planned). An air of resentment towards Berri would start to grow within Rebel, and that would only solidify when she became jealous of Berri’s friendship with Ginger after she rescued her.

Backstory

Subject-0189 was artificially birthed in a lab run by the Leaffoot Empire, hundreds of years before the modern-day town of Raskara had even existed in its place on the map and before the first humans migrated to the continent of Rathir, for the sole purpose of succeeding the current emperor (at the time). He was assigned to a Leaffoot scientist named "Arg'yl Fungius" (who cataloged his research on him, and the other subjects like him, in his personal lab journal) and was grown with accelerated aging magic, and given special magic implants in his brain that allowed him to read and control the minds of all living races (unlike the rest of his kin, who had implants set to control a specific race or set of races), giving Subject-0189 the nickname "Spectrum."He presumably spent his days training to use his implants, along with his other enhanced brethren. However, a resistance among the races the Leaffoots had enslaved eventually destroyed their empire from within, and had went about exterminating their captors. Arg'yl Fungius, along with a few remaining Leaffoot scientists, locked themselves in one of their lab, and sent Subject-0189 through one of their portals there to an unknown time and place. And in his final moments before the resistance broke their way into their lab, Arg'yl wrote a final message to Spectrum in his journal, hoping he would find it one day.Now in the present, Spectrum had gained temporary memory loss for a time before settling down in the town of Greatwhite Isles (and Zaidan in the distant continent of Eldham). He recently rediscovered his species' existence and their empire from the past after finding Arg'yl's journal, and is now unsure of how he'll go about his life (either by bringing about a new Leaffoot order in modern-day and enslaving the free peoples of Rathnir once again, or by carving out his own destiny (in a way opposite to that of his people's views of other races).

Backstory

Not much is known about Romulus’ past, on account of it happening so long ago that no mortal is left alive to remember it (besides Romulus himself), and on account of Romulus not wanting to remember that time in which he considers himself to have been “weak.” What is known, however, is that Romulus used to be a hedgehog that was committed to conquering the known world (during his time).At some point, Romulus had already conquered half of the known world (during his time) when the one he believes to be the Beginning visited him, offering him power in exchange for his help in leading a group of his followers to conquer the multiverse. Naturally, Romulus agreed, and so the one he believes to be the Beginning gave him an unnaturally long life, as well as the power to control plants. With these new powers, Romulus attempted to use them to further his previous conquest plans, but his anatomy began to change the more he used those powers until he eventually was morphed into a completely plant-like being, unable to move once he was rooted in a particular spot.From there, Romulus’ empire would quickly fall, and he would remain there for centuries upon centuries as the future Order of Genesis members would come to him, where he would start organizing their efforts (just as the one he believes to be the Beginning instructed). It’s during this point, however, that Romulus would notice how his physical appearance was still aging, but those of his followers weren’t; this would cause Romulus to become more and more bitter over the next few centuries, consuming himself with his mission and never losing sight of it.

Backstory

Lamia was born into the royal family of the ancient Kingdom of Naagon as a princess, set to become its sole monarch. She was, however, spoiled by her family since she was young. As a result, she would start to crave more and more power, wanting more control over others. As she got older, she would secretly devote her time in studying and perfecting her skills in the arcane arts; that's when she summoned an audience with who she believed to be the Beginning. He promised Lamia a way to give her control and power over others for all of eternity in exchange for her servitude towards him and towards his multiversal domination plan. Naturally, Lamia agreed to the terms, and so who she believed to be the Beginning gave her the power of Hypnosis (or Mind Control, technically speaking) and an unnaturally long life. She would get to work using her new powers almost immediately, betraying her family as she overthrew them and setting herself up as Naagon's Tyrant Queen.The Kingdom would become a slave nation consumed with sadness and despair, but there was little to no resistance, thanks to Lamia's new powers. This would continue for hundreds of years until the Kingdom collapsed in on itself and fell, leaving Lamia alone and without her crown. She would then devote her time towards furthering the plans of her new master (with some pleasure-seeking of her own on the side), joining the Order of Genesis and living throughout the centuries.

Backstory

Shinobi was abandoned as a child in the land of Chun-nan, having been the sole survivor of a natural disaster that wiped out his entire race of Honshū Wolves, and he remained homeless up until he was 10. As a child, he resorted to thievery to survive, adopting an ideology of always needing to seize every opportunity to advance in life, and that self-imposed profession of his eventually landed him in the sights of Asa The Praying Mantis. Shinobi was attempting to steal from the renowned martial artist and was quickly caught, but Asa unexpectedly showed him compassion, seeing a potential in him that others normally wouldn’t; so Asa took him in, and so did his clan by association: the Kamakiri Clan. Alongside Priscilla (known as Chizue at the time), Asa trained Shinobi in the ways of ninjutsu.As he grew into a young man, while he was grateful towards Asa’s generosity at first, his ideology never left, and he began to grow darker ambitions. It was tradition that Asa would grant a powerful relic known as the Tenki Blade, a magical sword that can control natural disasters, to his finest student (that being Priscilla at the time); Shinobi started to believe that he had a God-given right to that weapon, and he resolved himself to earn it. Priscilla and her father’s relationship just so happened to be very strained by the time her training was nearly complete (thanks to Asa pushing Priscilla in her training), and Shinobi saw this as an opportunity to manipulate her in such an emotional time of her life and get her out of his way as he vied for the sacred blade. Shinobi would begin to woo Priscilla over and plant seeds of doubt into her mind, convincing her to leave her father and make her own destiny out in the rest of the world (with him by her side, of course). And so, Priscilla would leave Chun-nan before her ninja training was complete, but of course, Shinobi would not join her… Shinobi stayed with Asa and continued to train under him. Asa would grow more bitter over his daughter leaving, however, and he would also begin to sense the dark ambitions in Shinobi’s heart; so when the time came for Shinobi’s training to be completed, Asa would not grant him the sword (thus rendering his training still incomplete).Outraged, Shinobi would leave Asa as well, eventually creating his own clan of thieves and assassins to lead and pillage with. Shinobi would also turn to dark forces and deities, which eventually got him an audience with a being Shinobi believed to be the Beginning, who granted him new tools (his power of Shadow Manipulation and Teleportation and his unnaturally long life) to aid his own plans. Shinobi would lend his forces to the Order of Genesis, aiding them in their ventures. Shinobi himself, however, began spying on Priscilla, eventually hearing that she was considering completing her training, so he waited in the shadows. He knew that Asa would grant Priscilla the Tenki Blade as a sign of her graduation should she indeed return, so all he had to do was wait until he could use such a moment to take the blade for himself…

Backstory

Agony was originally just like any other Cyber Space glitch up until Sonic and his friends trespassed and became trapped on the Starfall Islands, with Sonic’s friends specifically getting stuck in Cyber Space itself. Agony would follow Sonic’s friends around as they tried to escape Cyber Space, observing them from a distance, but that would change when he eventually found Tails; while all of Sonic’s friends were dealing with some form of trauma, to Agony, Tails especially “reeked of trauma…” As Agony would tail Tails, he would become more fascinated by the very concept of “trauma,” which eventually escalated to him appearing to Tails in person, taking on his form and confronting him with what was bothering him at the time; this troubled Tails greatly, and he would tell Sonic as much when he got to Chaos Island on his mission to free his friends.Soon enough, Agony would start to confront Sonic too, taking on Tails’ form again as Sonic traversed Cyber Space in search of keys to the Towers of the Masters; these attempts to interact with Sonic were unsuccessful, but at this point, Agony was obsessed with confronting others over their traumas. After Sonic and his friends would finally leave the islands though, Agony would be forced to wait for another victim to enter Cyber Space, so that he could properly “meld with them” and become the perfect organism to put others out of their misery…Agony would get his chance during Team Spectrum’s visit to the Starfall Islands while they were searching for Sonic and his friends (unknowingly after they left for home). While entering Cyber Space for the first time, Team Spectrum encountered the glitch in the digital world, and he would quickly latch onto Spectrum. He was quickly freed, but not before Agony copied Spectrum’s past traumas and embodied them into himself as a singular being. Shortly after that encounter, during another visit to Cyber Space, Agony would reveal his new form to Team Spectrum and attempt to kill Spectrum. During this initial fight, Agony would briefly separate Spectrum from his friends and show him traumatic flashes from his past. Regardless, Spectrum fought vigorously and drove him off. Following this, Team Spectrum would reunite, but they all would quickly realize that they couldn’t leave Cyber Space, as Agony was manipulating its systems to keep them from escaping.As Team Spectrum pressed on to find a way to escape Cyber Space, Agony would continue to encounter them and attempt to kill Spectrum, but he is constantly thwarted. Agony would actually also torment Berri and Tumult with their own traumas as well during his encounters with Team Spectrum, but for the most part, his main focus was entirely on Spectrum. Later on, upon discovering the truth of what happened with Sonic and his friends on the Starfall Islands before Team Spectrum’s arrival, along with discovering the origins of the Ancients and their (just as ancient) enemy, and as well as witnessing Spectrum’s memories and discovering Agony’s intentions (therefore piecing together the theory that Agony is an embodiment of Spectrum’s traumas), Agony would show up one last time to finish Spectrum off. Using all of Cyber Space against him, Agony nearly accomplished his goal to kill Spectrum, but not before the rest of Team Spectrum came to Spectrum’s rescue and helped fend him off. Together, they killed Agony, and they then earned their way out of Cyber Space shortly afterwards.
